Cookie policy

What are cookies and what they are for

A cookie is a text file that a website visited by the User sends to its terminal where it is stored and then sent back to that website on a subsequent visit. Cookies are distinguished according to:
The person who installs them on the User’s terminal, depending on whether it is the operator of the website that the User is visiting (so called “User”). “First-Party Cookies”) or a different website, which installs cookies through the first website (so-called “first-party cookies”).
The purpose of each cookie: some cookies allow the website that has installed them to remember, among other things, the preferences expressed by the User while browsing or making a purchase or authenticating themselves (so-called “third-party cookies”);
There are cookies that allow the website that has installed them to monitor the User’s navigation for, among other things, sending advertising or offering services in line with the preferences expressed by the User while browsing the web (so-called “technical cookies”);
“Profiling cookies”. Only profiling cookies require the User’s prior consent to their use. First-party technical and third-party profiling cookies are installed on the website, as described in the table below.

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of ‘carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information service explicitly requested by the subscriber or User to provide such a service’.

Technical cookies can be divided into:

– Navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, among other things, a purchase or authentication to access restricted areas);
– Cookie analytics (e.g. Google analytics), assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the webmaster to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website;
– Function cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the user.
It should be noted in particular that the Google Analytics tool used on this website collects visitors’ IP addresses to provide an indication of their geographical location. This method is known as IP geolocation. Google Analytics does not report information about actual IP addresses of visitors. Due to the use of a method known as IP masking, Google Analytics communicates information so that only part of the IP address is used for geolocation, rather than the full address.
You can download the Google Analytics deactivation browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The add-on communicates to the JavaScript code of Google Analytics (ga.js) to indicate that information about your visit to the website should not be sent to Google Analytics. The browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics does not prevent other information from being sent to the website itself.
The use of technical cookies does not require the consent of the person concerned.

Profiling cookies

Profile cookies are designed to create User profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the User when surfing the web.
This website uses profiling cookies managed by third parties (no profiling cookies are used by the owner).
These cookies −listed below and for which the User’s consent is required −are used for advertising services, targeting for advertising purposes, customization of content, tracking and optimization of performance.

How to express your consent to profiling cookies

During the first visit to the website, the User can accept all cookies by performing one of the following actions: clicking on the X or OK located in the banner or in any element of the page (image or link) outside the banner or scrolling through the page; moreover, the User need not perform the actions described in the banner, access any extended information from it or deny consent to the installation of cookies by clicking on the appropriate link.
During subsequent visits to the Website (provided that the User has previously expressed a preference for the use of cookies, as indicated above), the User can access the extended information through the “Cookie Information” button, which appears on each page of the Website, or deny consent to cookies in the manner indicated above. In any case, the User can deny consent to cookies through the settings of the browser, as described below.

Information pursuant to Art. 13 of Reg. 2016/679/EU

With respect to the information collected by cookies installed directly by the Website, the Data Controller specifies the following:
– The data are collected only for the purposes and duration indicated in the table below and are processed by computer;
– With regard to “technical” cookies, we would like to point out that the use of these cookies does not require the prior consent of the user since they are necessary to allow the navigation within the website and the proper functioning of the same. If you remove technical cookies through your browser settings, browsing the website might not be possible, in whole or in part;
– The data collected by first-party cookies may be communicated to persons acting on behalf of the owner as data controllers, designated or authorized, for the purposes related to those described above. In respect of such data, you may exercise your rights under reg. 2016/679/EU, as indicated in the Information on the Processing of Personal Data accessible through the “Privacy” link in the footer of the Website.
Finally, with reference to third-party cookies, please note that the purposes of these cookies, the logic underlying their processing and the management of User preferences with respect to cookies are not determined and/or verified by the Owner but by the third party that provides them, as a supplier and owner of the treatment.
